Nursing Assistant
The Nursing Assistant supports registered nurses in delivering routine patient care and maintaining a safe and comfortable healthcare environment. The role focuses on assisting patients with personal care, basic needs, mobility, and other delegated nursing support activities
About the role
The Nursing Assistant will be responsible for:
1. Assisting patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
2. Helping patients with eating, drinking, and other daily activities.
3. Assisting patients with movement, walking, and transfers.
4. Measuring and recording basic observations as trained and authorized.
5. Reporting changes in patients' conditions to the supervising nurse.
6. Preparing patient beds and maintaining clean patient care areas.
7. Assisting nurses with routine patient care procedures.
8. Supporting the safe handling and movement of patients.
9. Following infection prevention and control procedures.
10. Maintaining patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.
11. Ensuring that patient care equipment is clean and properly stored.
12. Performing other delegated duties within the limits of training and competence.
